Halloween Bat Treats

Ingredients:

·       Butter

·       Marshmallows’

·       Rice Krispie Cereal

·       Canned Frosting

Preparation:

The smell of the good Halloween Bat Treats on the day before Halloween. Each Halloween my mom would prepare them for Halloween day to hand them out to the kids that come knocking at our door saying trick or treat. The day of preparation my mom goes to the store to buy the ingredients. My mom had to go to get butter, one pack of marshmallows’,rice krispie cereal and one can of frosting.

The day my mom was planning on going to the store I asked could I go with her. My mom answered, “yes”. I was so excited to here my mom say I could go to the store with her. My mom told me that it was going to be easy getting the ingredients. After we finished getting the ingredients, we headed back home.

When we got into the house we started to prepare the Halloween Bat Treats.

My mouth started to water as I thought about the treats from the previous year that my mom had made them.

My mom and I played domino’s and drank punch for a while as my mother let the butter melt into the pan. My mom got up and poured the marshmallows into the pan until they were completely melted. Then, she added the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal into the butter and marshmallows. The ingredients started forming into rice krispie treats.

I said "mom, those look very delicious.” She replied, “thanks.” I told my mom that those look much better from the ones that she made last year. They were much bigger and they were filled with butter. Makes them slide right on down.

The next day, which was Halloween, my mom made my very own batch of treats. I was so happy to have my own. I was eating them all day. My brother and sister would ask for some of  them and I would say no. They were really mad at me.

As night time arrived someone came knocking at the door. I opened it. It was a little boy with a pumpkin head in his hand saying “trick or treat.” I dropped a Halloween Bat Treat wrapped in plastic into his pumpkin. He said thanks. More and more people started to arrive at our door. We started getting low. My mom hurried to the kitchen to make more. She got all of the ingredients out of the fridge. My mom made two baskets of  treats. Instead of giving everybody one she gave them two treats. We still had plenty left over and that was the end of our Halloween.

In the USA article, the men should be the primary breadwinners and I believe that the mom should be the stay at home mom and if she wants to work she can. That doesn’t mean she has to work really hard. I think that it is the man’s job to do all of the hard work and bring home all of the money.

Wives shouldn’t be out earning their husband by 28 percent. “Today when one spouse works full time the other stays at home, it the wife who is the sole bread winner in a record of 23 percent of families.” The men should work and the woman should stay at home instead of working. “She’s a business executive and electrical engineer.” “He quits many jobs for her career advancements.” I disagree with men quitting their jobs so she can get  an advancement. In today’s scenario it’s vice versa. The woman shouldn’t be doing the hard work. It’s supposed to be the women letting their jobs go if they even have one for the husband to move higher up the economic ladder.

The men should be bringing home all of the money, at least 85 percent of it. “Wives out earn their husband 28 percent of the time when both work up, up from 16 percent.” I don’t think that wives out earn out earn the husband because most parents that I know , the dad works harder and longer than the woman. “Facebook operating officer Sheryl Sandberg and yahoo chief executive Marissa Mayer have stirred debate about the complex choices occurring as women push themselves higher and higher up the economic ladder.” I disagree with this because men are the more strong minded people in today’s relationships. They do everything better than the woman does. They are also the ones who make sure that everything is financially right with the family.

The reason I think the men should be the bread winners is because men are more open minded. Maybe one day the women will actually gain my positive thoughts about the being higher paid person in the relationship, over the man. the men should be the primary breadwinnrs and i belive that the mom should be the stay at home mom
